County of Lucas issued the following announcement on Mar 28.
Lucas County property owners wishing to pay their property taxes online or by phone will have new and more user-friendly experience starting March 28, 2022.
Treasurer Lindsay M. Webb and her staff surveyed many of the nation’s electronic payment companies for nearly a year before choosing their new vendor, Paymentus. “We wanted a best-in-class industry leader for our phone and online payment processing” Webb stated, adding “Paymentus gives us and our customers everything we were seeking – safe and secure transactions, it’s easy to use, and it offers clients a much wider variety of convenient payment options.”
Webb also noted that, like many consumers, property owners changed their payment habits during the Covid-19 pandemic, stating “More than ever, our customers are interested in safe, convenient, contact-free ways to pay their bills.”
Customers wishing to try the new service can pay by phone at 1-866-288-9803 or by visiting the Treasurer’s website at www.co.lucas.oh.us/treasurer.
