City of Maumee issued the following announcement on Mar 30.

The City of Maumee has completed significant work on the Elizabeth St. Pump Station. The purpose of the $1.2 million project is to improve conditions at the pump station that transports raw sewage at the interceptor line from the homes along East and West Harrison Streets.

“The enhancements to the Elizabeth Street Station will ensure consistent operation of the pumps and allow for off-site monitoring, and the added safety features will help to protect our service team,” stated Matt Miles, Capital Projects Manager, City of Maumee.

This project is but a small part of the updates being made to City of Maumee water and sewer systems. Maumee is working aggressively, in partnership with the Ohio EPA, to fix the problems in its’ aging infrastructure.
