Aside from completing 386 (+) hours of training, the 53rd Corrections Class class had a secondary graduation on Friday April 22, 2022. Each officer completed Crisis Intervention Training (C.I.T.). This imperative training module enhances the officers understanding of those we work with in community and provides each officer with the knowledge, tools, and resources to make a positive difference when dealing with high risk individuals or anyone experiencing a crisis. Responding to mental health needs is a necessary and regular occurrence these officers will undertake in their careers. We want to thank D.A.R.T. Community Advocate (Officer) Tamme Smith for leading this week with a plethora of instructors who were amazing!
