Scam Alert!

A3

Please share with family and friends. It was brought to our attention that an unsuspecting victim had been recently scammed out of $2,000. The victim advised us that the scammer(s) are representing themselves as members of the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office. The victim called 419-318-3768 and selected option #3.  The scammer impersonated retired Lieutenant David Carter.

Additional phone options are pressing #1 for Sheriff Navarre, #2 for Captain Dave Friddell, for warrants and citations press #4, the financial department press #5 and to repeat this menu press 0. “ This is a very convincing phone tree being offered to victims. As always, the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office will never call to advise anyone about court matters  or request payments of any kind over the phone.
