WPD and Cycle Werks-Whitehouse are sponsoring a Bicycle Rodeo for children ages 5-10. The Bicycle Rodeo is scheduled for Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 6:00pm-8:00pm beginning at Cycle Werks. Parents and children should arrive at Cycle Werks by 5:45pm for registration. Children should bring their bicycles and helmets to the event. There are no registration fees for this program.
The rodeo will consist of:
Bicycle inspection from Cycle Werks mechanics
Bicycle registration and helmet check
Lessons on how to properly cross the street
Maneuverability exercises
Certificates are provided for children completing the program
The bicycle course will be in Village Park and on the Wabash Cannonball trail. WPD officers will be on hand to answer questions and register bicycles. Bicycle registrations are free, and each bicycle registered will be provided a bicycle license sticker.
