SOLICITOR SCAM: This is occurring in and around the Springfield Township area. A woman is asking businesses to donate on behalf of “Urban Air.” A business owner decided to call the organization and he was advised that Urban Air does not have any employees in the community requesting donations. If you encounter such a person, please call our non-emergency number to request a deputy 419-255-8443.
PHONE SCAM: The primary (FAKE) number being utilized is 419-930-1949 and these miscreants are impersonating our personnel. The LCSO will never call anyone requesting monetary payments in any form to remove warrants, pay citations or if you have missed jury duty. Don’t worry, we called the number this morning and left a message for these scammers to call us back.
