We are sad to report the passing of retired Deputy Sheriff James R. "Jim" Lemerand.
Jim graduated from Macomber high school and then entered the National Guard and gave 7 years of service to his country. He worked for Norfolk and Western railroad for many years then finished off his career at the Lucas County Sherriff’s Department, where he was a Deputy Sheriff before retiring with over 25 years, in 2010.
