Engage Toledo is excited to announce that it is open for residents to apply for the fifth annual Ambassador Academy class which will meet every Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. starting on February, 17, 2022. Graduation is on May 12, 2022.
Overview
The purpose of the Engage Toledo Ambassador Academy is to encourage higher levels of civic engagement in our community through increased dialogue and meaningful participation. The Engage Toledo Ambassador Academy fosters a partnership between residents and city leaders.
Throughout the twelve-week program, participants travel to various city-owned facilities in all six council districts and will learn about resident facing programs and city services. At the completion, participants will graduate in a formal ceremony in City Council chambers and be designated as Engage Toledo Ambassadors. It is a great opportunity to meet other Toledo residents, city staff, and elected officials. The program is free to attend. Participants must be City of Toledo residents and 18 years of age or older.

The academy consists of eleven sessions that occur every week on Thursdays beginning February 17, 2022. Each week, light refreshments will be available beginning 5:30pm and the class begins promptly and runs from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.

16 participants will be selected from all six council districts.
