Village of Swanton issued the following announcement on Jan 26.
All eligible residents of the Village of Swanton have a responsibility to file an income tax return with the Regional Income Tax Agency, (R.I.T.A.), the third party vendor which is used to administer income tax collection on the Village’s behalf. Periodically R.I.T.A. sends out letters to “non-filers” to kindly remind them of said responsibility.
If there has been a status change, such as retirement, or exemption the individual must notify R.I.T.A. or they will continue to receive these communications. The next round of communication will be sent out soon.
