Online bill pay is a secure electronic service initiated by customers, through their bank, to pay bills without having to write checks and mail them. Online bill payment is tied to a bank account from which funds are withdrawn electronically for payment of one-time or recurring bills.
Currently, the City of Maumee Utility office receives Bill Pays as a check received in the mail from the issuing bank. With the implementation of Invoice Cloud, those will begin to be captured electronically.
In the interim, we strongly encourage customers initiate Bill Pays 10 days prior to due date of Utility Bill to ensure payment is received in a timely manner. There are NO FEEs from the City of Maumee to electronically capture Bill Pays.
