Nearly $20 million in grants have been distributed to 21 nonprofit organizations throughout Ohio as part of the state's Parenting and Pregnancy Program, according to an announcement from State Representative Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Twp.) and the Ohio Department of Children and Youth.
Among the recipients, three organizations are based in Williams’ district: Compassion Health Toledo, Baby University, and The Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio. These groups will receive funding aimed at supporting mothers and babies in their local communities.
“These grants are an investment in life, family, and the future of our communities,” said Williams. “By expanding support for mothers and babies, we’re not only providing critical resources in a moment of need — we’re empowering families to thrive long-term. I’m proud to see organizations in our district leading the way.”
The increased funding for this program was included as part of House Bill 96—Ohio’s State Operating Budget—which aims to bolster services for thousands of families across the state.
