State Representative Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Twp.) has announced that the Ohio Controlling Board has approved $1.6 million in funding for Owens State Community College. The funds will be used to replace and renovate the HVAC systems used in the college’s HVAC Program.

Williams stated, “Supporting programs like this will help create jobs in our community and strengthen our workforce. I’m excited for Owens State to receive this funding and help more Northwest Ohioans receive top of the line training.”

The funding will allow Owens State Community College to update modules and software related to their HVAC training. Additionally, a contractor will be hired to install all necessary modules and wiring for the program.
